Wanna Get Away??

Well this weekend Felix and I are taking off to the Gorge for the Tom Petty Concert with my Mom and Jeff. Although Im looking forward to it, I mean a weekend without child, good music, lots of drinking, and camping, and having lots of fun.. but this will be the longest we have "both" been without Alex.

Ive been without her in the past for about a week. Granted, she was with Daddy in El Paso picking up her sister to take back up to Seattle. But, this will officially be the first time she is away from "us".

I dunno how she will do, Im praying she does well. But I think Im more concerned with how Mommy will do. I'll admit it, Im a little nervous. Im okay when she stays the night anywhere, cause in the back of my mind I know its only a NIGHT. But pretty much the entire weekend is a different story.

I know she is in good hands. I mean, its my Dad and Carla. They have both raised kids and we have all come out okay.. kind of lol.. But I dunno.. I guess its cause my little girl is growing up :(.. She's already talking about wanting to go to school, and ride a school bus by herself. But I dont think Mommy is ready for all that!!

Well.. Im sure I will be fine. I can always call.. Im gonna have my phone with me (gotta keep updating Facebook lol). Im sure she will be okay too.. she's a good girl, and she loves her Papa and Grandma Carla!

I got some catching up to do!!

Man Ive have forgotten completely to update.. Ive gotten a few shopping experiences under my belt. Let see where to begin..

Okay so this was a Trip to Walgreens.. I spent $32(thanks to the Crest White Strips) but my total savings was $72.48!!!!!

I dont have the complete breakdown, cause I already forgot lol.. but the chips were free after coupon and same with the 2 Oil of Olay shower lotions, Natures Bounty Vitamins (both free) and the Veet. The Crest Strips I got on the clearance aisle for $20.99 and I had one of those $5 off coupons that I used. The Johnson & Johnson Soap I got for $1.99, the Plackers were a buck, Benedryl and Sudafed I had coupons for and they were on sale so I got them pretty cheap.

My Walgreens Reciept. The top portion is my purchases, the bottom are all the coupons.. lol.

So I had another trip to Rite Aid. I got all this for $7 and saved $18.. I dont have the reciept anymore only the email I sent with the picture.. but you know there was some bogo in there.. lol I guess I need to update right after my experience again huh?? Im no help!

Since Ive been doing all this couponing, Im slowly running out of space to put things. This is my bathroom counter, with a FEW of the things Ive stocked up on. After Felix getting after me on a dialy basis, Ive FINALLY put everything in a place and my counter is clean!! Ive actually used a lot of it already.

Some Serious Couponage..

Okay so Ive gotten super serious about this whole coupon thing. I have went to the length of purchasing a coupon binder, and using the trading card inserts to stick my coupons in. Granted some of my coupons are a little on the big side, but, it has worked really really well. I print out my shopping list of what I'm getting at what stores, and insert it in the very front of the binder under the clear pocket. Then I'm going to be getting dividers so its easier to find things, but right now I have them sorted into, Medicines, Skin Care/Razors, Men's Toiletries, Hair Care, Make Up, Paper Goods/Feminine Products, Oral Care, Kiddo Care, household Cleaners, Dish Soap, Air Fresheners, Laundry, Drinks, Frozen Food, Snacks, Meats/Meals, Sweets, Dairy Condiments, Misc., Rite Aid Coupons, Target Coupons, and Walgreen's Coupons. My hubby thinks I'm a little crazy, but he's happy I'm taking this seriously.

So today I went and did a little shopping. There was some really good deals that I just couldn't pass up. So this is from Rite Aid. I got 2 3-in-1 Purex Laundry Sheet Starters, 2 4 Pack Reveal light bulbs, a 16 pack of Kotex U, L'Oreal Vive Pro Straightening Gloss, and a Wet and Wild 5 piece eyeshadow pack. I spent $10.42 at Purchase, After my Rebates that I just sent in for I spent $2.93!!! And saved $40.56!!

So this is what I did. The Kotex U was $3.49, which is eligible for a $3.49 rebate, plus I had a $1.00 off coupon, so this I would have made a $1 on. The GE Reveal Light bulbs were on sale 2/$6.00, I had 2 $1 off coupons, then there were 2 $2.00 rebates for them, so those were free. The eyeshadow was on the clearance rack was $3.99, I got it for $.99. The L'Oreal VivePro was also on the clearance for $2.49, then I had a $1 off coupon for that one, so that was $1.49. The the Purex, was a b1g1 free plus I had a Rite Aid Coupon for $2 off and another coupon for $2 off. So 1 was Free the other I paid $4.99 for instead of $8.99. Then I had a $5 off $20 purchase coupon (subtotal before coupons counts!), so total I paid $10.42, with rebates $2.93!! Not bad!

Then I went to Walgreen's. This was a little more of expensive than Rite Aid, but considering what I got, I did fairly well.

I got A Reusable Walgreen's Tote, 2 Bayer 150 Count Aspirin, 2 3 pack Scotch Brite sponges, 1 Dawn Dish Soap, 3 John Frieda Styling Products, 1 Reynolds Foil, 2 Gummy Worms, 1 bag of TGI Fridays Potato Skin Chips (not pictured cause Alex ate them!) and a Redbox rental. Total I paid $20.00 but I have a $5 Register Reward I can use on next purchase, it it would have been $15.00.

So this is what I did, The totes were on sale for $.99 but there was a Walgreen's coupon to get 3/$.99, so I only got 1. Right now there is a $3 off Bayer Aspirin Coupon (limit 3) plus I had 2 $1.50 off coupons. But here's the kicker, there was no fine print on the Walgreen's coupon, so we were given the heads up you could get the smaller count aspirin and it was more than free.. well I waited to the last minute to get it, so when I get to Walgreen's this is what I see...
So now I have to get the more expensive one, but it still worked out to be a great deal. $6.49 down to $3.49, then after the coupons I got them both for $2 each. The Gummy Worms were advertised at $.39 each, plus I got a $.55 off 2 coupon, so I got them for $.12 each. The Sponges were a buy one get one free, then I had a coupon for $1 off so I got the two 3 packs for $2.99. The Dawn Walgreen's had a coupon for them to be $.99 plus I had a $.50 off coupon, so I got it for $.49!! The Reynolds Foil with Walgreen's Coupon was $.89, The Redbox was free thanks to the codes received by becoming a fan of their Facebook page. Then I got the John Frieda which are originally $6.49 each, I had 3 $2.50 off coupons, so each of then were $3.99, plus when you buy 3 you get $5 Register Rewards ($5 off your next purchase). So total I spent $20, but with the $5 off coupon its like spending $15.00!! Total savings $35.96!!! Still not too shabby.

I do want to go back to Rite Aid though. Right now there is a super hot deal on Claritin there, which is awesome cause Felix and I both have allergies. Right now certain Claritin are on sale for $8.99. I have a bunch of Claritin coupons ranging from $7 off to $2 off. Plus Some Rite Aid ones as well that I can double up on. And on top of that there is a $25 Rite Aid Gift Card Rebate when you buy any 3 Claritin. So this is a real potential money maker. The Rite Aid I went to today only had 1 box left, and I needed 3. So I might try the one on the west side tomorrow, see if I have any luck. Looks like I'm competing with a fellow couponer for these good items.. lol!!!

My shopping experiences in April this far..

Okay so this week, I have been busy.. and a little photo crazy! I think the ladies at Walgreens are tired of me already.. lol. On these phots, 11x14" poster, 4 8x10" 's, and 280 digital prints, were $1.99 total!!

Last week at Walgreens had a 7 days of photo deals. Every day was something different. Whether is was free printer ink refills, 20 free 4x6" photos, 8x10's, collages, etc.. So I took advantage of almost every day that week.

I missed the free printer ink refills, even though that was probably the one I needed the most, since Ive been printing coupons like crazy! But I did take advantage of the 20 free 4x6" digital prints, which I got 20 free for me, then 20 free for my hubby. I was thinking of getting 20 free for Alex too, but I thought that was probably a little too much.. lol. I also got an 11x14" picture poster for $1.99, instead of like $19.99.. which is totally awesome. Its a nice family photo of us on the beach in black and white at Ocean Shores. Then I got 4 free 8x10" digital prints. I got 2 from Walgreens (1 for me, and 1 for Felix) then I got 2 free from Snapfish.com (1 for me, 1 for Felix) they were even able to be picked up at Walgreens, and all the photos except the poster was 1 hour photo eligible!!

Then at Snapfish.com they were celebrating their 10yr birthday so they were also running deals on free photos.. so I got 100 free digital prints, and with the right promo code they also gave me free shipping on all my orders! Also since I was a new member to Snapfish (well Felix and I were both new accts, I doubled up on all their deals!) then for signing up I got an additional 20 free prints per acct!!

So as far a pictures go, I have a lot of scrapbooking to do now!!

Then today I went to Target so use up some coupons that were expiring, and take advantage of some $5 gift card specials running this week.

So the break down, I got a Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner, a Scrubbing Bubbles 2 in 1 Toilet Wand, 2 Scrubbing Bubbles Toilet Gels and Applicator, GE Reveal Light Bulbs 2 Kids Books, 2 Venus Embrace Razors, 1 Fusion Razor, 1 Binder (for my coupons) and 2 Cokes (1 missing cause I gave it to my sister). Total I paid $36.00, but after $15 worth of Target gift cards I got for my purchases, its like paying $11!!! Saved $51!!!! Before the Johnson & Johnson Rebate, after the Rebate I would have spent $6!!

I had a $5 off coupon for the Automatic Shower Cleaner, then you get a $5 card from Target, so instead of $12.99, w/ coupon is $7.99, then with Gift Card $2.99!!! Then I had a $1 off the Toilet Gel, so instead of $3.49 it was $2.49, and I had a buy a Toilet Gel get the 2 in 1 wand for free coupon, so I paid another $3.49 but w/ coupon I didnt have to pay the $6.10 for the wand!! Then since I bought 3 Scrubbing Bubbles Products I got another $5 Target Card. (Also there is a $5 Johnson and Johnson Mail in Rebate for 3 Scrubbing Bubbles Products)

The 2 Kids books were in the $1 section.. and the binder was a $1.50. The Fusion Razor was on sale for $6.99 and I had a $4 off coupon, which made it $2.99, then the Venus Embrace was also on sale for $6.99, I used 2 $2 off coupons, and then if you buy 2 you get a $5 Target Gift Card.. I had a buy 1 get 1 free coupon for the sodas, The Light Bulbs were $2.14 but I had a Target Coupon for $1.50 off plus a Manufacturer Coupon for another $1 off which made them free!

Whoo.. that was a lot! So all in all not bad for April thus far!

Shopping Day!!!!

Okay so, I think I'm going to part time my blog.. part time family stuff.. part time shopping experiences.. Cause in case you didn't know, my new thing is couponing!! I LOVE my coupons!!

Today thanks to the Krazy Coupon Lady, and the Discount Divas, these are my deals today..

I went to Target and I got all this for $7.64!!

So the Sobe Waters were a buck each, I got 8 of them, with 4 Buy on Get one Free Coupons I only had to pay for 4.. The Tide, Kiss Nail Decor, 2 Gillette Body washes, the Princess Toothbrush, and a Lunchable (not pictured cause Alex was eating it)- I got all for Free.. The Crest with free item I got for $1.49, The Satin Care Shave Gel I got for $.49, The Redi-Whip I got for a buck, The 2 packages of light bulbs I got for $.14 each and the Planters were $.20 each, so after tax was $12.64, I had a $5 Target card that was free from a previous purchase, so total I paid $7.64!!! And SAVED $18.72!!

This was a previous shopping trip to Walgreen's that I had previously posted on Facebook.. it was a little more of an expensive trip cause of the name brand items.. but still saved more than I spent..

For $25.00 even (saved $37!!) !! 2 Strap Perfects, Biore Cleanser & Pore Strips, 2 Almay Eye Products, NyQuil, Frizz Ease Conditioner, Gillette Deodorant & Body Wash, Crest toothpaste, 2 Eclipse Gums, 2 4.5 oz Hershey's Candy Bars and A lady Speed Stick.. not bad..

This was one of my very first shopping experiences at Walgreen's.. as you can see it was a very small shopping trip, I was sooo nervous to used 100 million coupons in every transaction, but now.. hey I don't care..

What I got for $3.52 at Walgreen's.. Saved $18!

But I think so far THE BEST shopping experience was actually by Felix.. we went to Kohl's and he was shopping in the Clearance for some shirts and stuff.. his total rang up to be $187.89.. but after all the clearance discounts and an extra discount coupon I had, total we spent $41.82. WHAT?! Yeah.. that's right.. so now whenever we go to the mall, our first stop is Kohl's to look at the clearance!! LOL

Wow.. its been awhile..

Man Ive been slacking.. just been so busy!

First, I was busy planning Felix's 3oth Birthday! We went out with some friends the weekend before to a new bar in the area. It was real nice, somewhere we will probably frequent when we get sitters. We ended up getting to hang out with a porno star that night. He was there with one of our friends, who was in the industry years ago. His film name is Dick Tracy, and surprisingly enough Felix didnt recognize him (he likes his adult movies.. lol), but I DID! Im not an adult movie enthusiest, but I recognized the name, then the face. How weird.

Felix and Dick Tracy

Me and Dick Tracy

Then, we are still busy planning our wedding. Man its been nuts. We arent doing anything big, just the justice of the peace, and a small reception the day after here at our apartments clubhouse(cause its free). But, since Felix works longs hours all the time, a lot of the planning, shopping, and pretty much everything has fallen on me. Its stressful! But the good news is there is only a week left before its D Day.. the bad news is, I still have so much to do.

I still have to order the cake, get all the food, drinks, figure out my hair, get a garter belt, figure out my something old, new, borrowed and blue. I also need to finish the decorations, music, jewelry. Felix's suit is done. Alex's dress and stuff is done.

Plus on top of all that, we have two people coming in from out of state and staying with us for a week. Felix's sister is coming in from El Paso, and will be staying with us until the following Tuesday. My bestest friend Vic is coming in from Dallas and staying with us until the following Wednesday.

So heres how its going down. I have to go on Feb 23rd to the airport at like 900am cause Vic flies in at 10am. Then after I pick him up we are driving back into town and hanging out until Felix gets home. Then we have to drive BACK OUT to the airport to pick his sister up at 815pm that same night. So that is going to be a long ass day lol. The we have all day Thursday to do whatever. Friday we get married at 5pm in Port Orchard. Saturday we are doing the reception at 430ish, then having an after party here. Sunday and Monday are open to be tour guide and do stuff, then his sister leaves Tuesday early, she flies out at 800am, so we have to be out at the airport at like 600am. Then Wednesday Felix goes back to work, and I have to take Vic back out to the airport at 1ish cause he flies out at 300pm. So Im gonna hit some monster rush hour traffic.

Holy Moses! I cant wait until this is all done!

Oh Poopie.. Poopie!!

So Alex is almost completely potty trained, she has no more potty accidents. I can take her to the store, run errands in big girl undies and she does completely fine.

BUT ITS THE DARN POOPIE!!

She will go on the toilet and fart, and push. Then when you can hear something start to come out, she puckers up, and doesnt let ANYTHING out!! So she either has an accident about 15 to 30 minutes later, or she makes herself get backed up.

We still put her in a diaper for sleeping at night, and that is when she tends to poop. I try to check on her and catch it after it happens so I can change it out, so she doesnt have to sleep in it. But it doesnt always work.. she poops at different times all the time. I never know when its coming!

So all you mommys out there.. do you have any tips on getting her to poop in the toilet?? I tried taking away her steps so she gets stuck up on the toilet, but now she just jumps off.. I paint her nails on the toilet to extend her stay up on the throan.. but that only lasts so long, and sometimes she isnt as patient as I hoped. So anything else that works???

Getting rid of the B-O-T-T-L-E

So finally I had a break down.. I HAD to get Alex to get rid of her bottle.. or potty training will NEVER come!

So I did it.. I THREW THEM AWAY! I made her watch me do it.. she wasn't happy at all. So I took her to Walmart to pick out some "Big Girl" cups (even though she calls it the "Big Girl Bottle").

I thought to myself that this was going to be long and hard, cause I've made references before about it being like Crack to her.. and well its true.

I warned Felix of what I was doing, and he wasn't too happy either. Cause she uses a bottle to go to sleep, yeah I know, its bad, but if she wont sleep you gotta do what you gotta do. He said that if she cried too much he would be sleeping on the couch, and even kept a pillow and blanket on the couch just in case. That I'm the one who has to deal with it, and then I thought.. ugh.. really?? I'm in this alone?

Well, I'm proud to say we are on day 4 of no b-o-t-t-l-e-s. Good thing she cant spell yet, cause you cant say the word around her. She hasn't even asked for one. Shes went to sleep and nap time without one too. Its kind of scary on how well this has been going. I mean she has her moments but then soon forgets entirely why she was crying. I also introduced juice boxes to her too to give her "cool" ways to drink things.

So, far so good. I'm just worried about this being the quiet before the storm, but its been 4 days now. I think we are past that point.

Now, we tackle potty training!!!!

Sunday, January 17, 2010

its been a few..

so much for posting everday huh?? Yeah, Im a winner.. lol!

Anyway. Same thing different day I suppose. Alex is still having issues potty training.. only wanting to do it when SHE feels like it.. but that aside, what I need is to get her off her darn bottle! Once that is done, I feel like potty training will be a breeze! Maybe Im wrong.. I dunno

Nothing really new with me, debating on getting a Wii Fit or not. I really want to get a portable stripper pole, cause I found some sites that offer online pole aerobics. Cause I cant find anywhere local that does it, closest one is in Tacoma. I would really like to do that. It is suppose to kick your butt and be a really good toning exercise, plus I could use my new found moves on my hubby.. lol. Has anyone done pole aerobics before?? Did it work?? The pole is about $40 more than the Wii Fit (I know, I never knew they were so expensive!), so
I want to make sure its worth it. Im getting the expensive one cause I wanna be able to twirl around and flip, and all that cool stuff.

Potty Training

I hate potty training.. my daughter only seems to want to be part time potty trained. Today she was in underwear all day no accidents. I put a diaper on her for naps and when she goes to sleep at night. But she still wont poop on the toilet, she'll fart, but not poop! And then tomorrow when I tell her its time to put her underwear on, she'll scream NO and cry for a diaper. She only wants to wear undies and go on the potty chair when she wants to. Which is few and far between. I dunno what to do. Im so frustrated. One reason she cant fully potty train is because she wont give up her damn bottle. Its like crack to her. Ive tried putting chile powder on the nipple, but she LOVES spicy things. She can eat a whole bag of Hot Cheetoes without a wince. So I try to put lemon on the nipple, she loves to eat lemons raw. I tried hiding them, throwing them away in front of her.. NOTHING WORKS!! Once she gives up that darn bottle potty training would be SO easy. But until then she wants her diaper changed after every pee, which means I go through diapers like toilet paper..

UGH

Had a good weekend thus far

Felix and I haven't been out in quite some time. Since Halloween to be exact. So last night, was much needed and well deserved.

Felix took me out to a nice romantic dinner to Olive Garden, then instead of walking around Target because he thought we would spend too much money, we decided to walk around the mall.. BIG MISTAKE!

We ended up buying this disco lights thing from Spencer's. Its called a Kaleidoscope Laser Light. This thing is the shiznit!! Its hard to explain, it fills the room with these laser dots, that all of a sudden explode and dart around the room, then slowly back track to the orginal dot, then explode again. You can just stare at them cause they are the coolest thing ever. Not something to watch if your are high, or on acid, etc.. lol..

Then we went to Kohls. Another big mistake.. you all know how the clearance at Kohls is at times.. we Felix found a ton of things in his size, and 70 to 80% off.. so when he spent $40, I didnt feel bad cause his savings was $102!! WHA?! Thats right.

Then we came home and installed our new lights, watched in amazement for about and hour, then left to the bar in Port Orchard. Well it was POURING down rain, and one of our headklights go out. So we run by Autozone, and they are closed. So we make it out there without getting pulled over despite seeing 4 cops within about 3 blocks of each other..

We saw a bunch of friends we havent seen since October, cause they are friends we see.. at the bar. So we had fun, I drank, Felix drank too many energy drinks.. lol.. We laughed all night, listened to people sing, watching Kris be his hilarious self. And the Scottish accent makes it all that more funny.. lol.

We closed down the bar, and did some after partying so Felix could drink a little, and I drove us back after 330 this morning. (Yes I was sober) Our morning paper was already hanging on our door when we got home. Lol.

But this morning my body reminded me that Im getting too old for this. I was hungover even though I quit drinking half way through the night.. and still so tired.. Must make up for sleep loss tonight.

Thursday, January 7, 2010

Just gonna vent tonight

Okay I know how I said in my very first post, no family stuff. But you know what?? I take that back..

I have nothing to say. Im boring. Thats it. Im not a creative writer who can take off the wall topics to write about and all of a sudden they get a million followers. That doesnt happen to people like me.

Everything that happens in my life revolves around my family, Felix, Alexandra and I. Plus on occasion my mom, dad, etc. Thats my life. Family.

So anything I have to say is about things that happen in my family. Who said something stupid, who did what, who is fighting with who. You know, typical family stuff. So from now on, I write about anything.. topics, family, myself, my daughter.. WHATEVER.

Ahh thats better. Back to my boring, no followers self again.

Stay at Home Moms Days off?

So, yes, I'm a stay at home Mom. My job consists of making Felix breakfast, lunch and coffee in the morning before he goes to work, take care of all the needs of Alex, clean the house, run any errands that need to be ran during the day, prepare dinner, clean up after dinner, and put Alex to sleep. I do this 7 days a week.

Felix works installing satellite dishes for at least 10 hours a day, a least 4 days a week. Some weeks are more depending on work load and overtime availability. He gets a 3 day weekend.

So, when exactly are my days off? I don't get to leave my work for an extended period of time, to take a break from the routine, to leave the stress of work at work to go home. My work is my home.

So on Felix's days off he likes to do as least as possible. Lounge around the house, dink around on projects, go out, whatever. But that same time he is enjoying his time off, I'm busy working, cleaning up not only after Alex, but also after him. Making sure everything is in order so just in case people stop by, we aren't embarrassed by our mess.

But if I try to lounge around, take a break, or not do anything for ONE DAY, he gets upset. Why isn't this clean? Why isn't this done? This, that, the other. I tell him that I just want one day off to do nothing, and I feel guilty for making him doing stuff on his day off.

So what should I do? Should I continue to argue for a day of relaxation from all my "work" stress? Or should I just let it slide, suck it up, and deal with it?

I guess we will find all that out in time.

What is your dream job? Describe a day in your dream job.

So thanks to a random topic generator, today's topic is:

what is your dream job?

Its a hard question to answer. At first my answer right away would be Fire Fighter/EMT. I did it down in Texas for 3 or 4 years, and I absolutely loved it. I would look forward to the time to go to the station. Just getting a call, heading into the unknown, knowing that you are helping someone in the time they need you the most. Its probably one of the most rewarding jobs you could have.

But now that I'm getting older, and now that I have a family, I don't know if I would mentally be able to do that job anymore. After what happened where I was hospitalized for a week, I couldn't put my daughter and my family through that. Because it is a very risky job, you are walking that fine line every time you leave that station on the truck. Cause if something were to happen, and lets say the worst did happen, yeah I would've died with honor, but honor don't bring Mommy home.

There is also a part of me that is the biggest computer geek (thanks Dad), and I love dinking around on here. I really took a liking to making presentations, and the personalized videos that have pictures and home movies, with music and the whole 9 yards.. like going into the Visual Arts or something.

But there really isn't a market for any of that.. and since everyone has the ability of going on the Internet and downloading any software they please, it takes that away from you. I mean I see people putting them together for families of the deceased at funeral homes and such, but that's really depressing, you know? And down in El Paso there is a good market because of the quincenera, but you lose a lot of business to those who go to Juarez, MEX to get it done for cheaper.

Yeah I could go be a CNA, or Pharmacy Tech. but it seems that, that's what the people who didn't graduate so when they are desperate, and cant get anything else. They don't get paid well, the hours suck, and its a shit job(excuse my language). I like working with patients, but I REFUSE to work in a Senior home.. to depressing.

People always say, do what you love. What if you love many things? And you're indecisive like me?(must be a Libra thing) With the way the economy is now, you be lucky to get anything, let alone your "DREAM JOB".

So for now, my dream job, is to stay home with my little one. Watch her grow, and take care of my family every single day.

That, Is my Dream Job.

My First Blog Post Ever

Well.. well.. well.. I finally did it.. I gave in.. I started a blog. I held out as long as I could, but it was inevitable.. that in time I was bound to give into the blog-o-sphere..

So here I am. And here you are.. reading every word that I sit here and type as if I had anything interesting to say. At times I do, and others all I seem to invoke in people is the good ol' "face palm".

But here's my idea for my blog, I post a blog everyday starting today, regardless of where I am, what I am doing, or how I feel. But the catch is, is that it has to be on a random topic, any topic, whether it be something in the news, on my mind.. whatever. (No family business.. I will save that for another blog) But since this is my first post, I will use it to tell you all a little about me and my life.

I was born in Bummertown.. I mean Bremerton, WA. I grew up here, left when I married a submariner, travelled the US, and ended up in Texas. Horizon City, Texas, a little town in the desert, in the middle of nowhere, outside El Paso. There I was a Fire Fighter for 3 or 4 years, amongst other things. Then due to a freak accident at a house fire, I was hospitalized with a heart condition, that I was completely unaware of having. Soon after, I divorced my ex, and moved in with my now fiance Felix. We have a beautiful daughter Alexandra who is 2, and I am a soon to be step mom to Cynthia who is 8. I moved back to Bremerton in 2007 with my fiance and daughter. Now I'm a stay at home mom, and Felix works with a satellite company. We have been together for almost 4 years, and we just got engaged this Christmas Eve.

And that's about it. That's a brief summary of me, and where I'm coming from. In other words, I just have a lot of time on my hands, so prepare yourself. Lol.
